What is Dye Sublimation Printing?

Put simply, dye sublimation is a method of printing that transfers your artwork or photograph, by way of ink and heat, onto any specially coated substrate.
First of all your image is printed in very high resolution onto special inkjet paper. This print is then pressed under heat onto the coated substrate turning the inks into gas which then combine with the substrate. The heat opens up the pores of the substrate, then with the applied pressure the ink cools and returns to a solid form. The results are stunning full colour permanent images and as the ink is embedded in the coating, rather than simply laying on top like a normal print, they are archival, waterproof, fire, chemical and abrasion resistant. A perfect combination of durability and ultra high definition image reproduction.
When viewing our prints our clients often say “they look almost 3D or somehow backlit”, “the colours really pop and appear luminescent”, to see our prints is the only way to really appreciate them, they are of the highest quality. And there is a very good reason for this, we only use the very best equipment and sublimation panels on the market today. ChromaLuxe sublimation panels are the industry standard for professional photographers and artists. There is simply no alternative and all other options fall flat in comparison. ChromaLuxe panels are proven to last over 65 years. Couple this with the F-series Epson printer, which provides the sharpest and widest gamut prints in the dye sublimation industry, and you have a match made in heaven. ChromaLuxe have the highest number of layers of sublimation coating on their panels which gives the images that depth and vibrancy, not to mention the durability, cheap alternatives will only have two or three layers which make then duller and nowhere near as durable.

If you haven’t tried dye sublimation printing yet then why not give ChromaLuxe LAB UK a go, we promise you the results will take your breath away.
