Under Water Chromaluxe Exhibition.

‘On a Single Breath’ was a world first, unique and truly stunning exhibition that proved beyond any doubt that Chromaluxe is one of the most durable print mediums available today. Absolutely glorious HD prints on metal showing the work of Greek Free-diver and photographer Stefanos Kontos.

Those lucky enough to attend the event were treated to three collections, titled Mythos (myth), Yphalos (reef) and Vythos (seabed), of dozens of submarine sites of the Aegean Sea, which were taken between 2013 and 2018 underwater without the use of scuba gear.

Chromaluxe supported the event and supplied the dye-sublimation aluminium panels to make this event possible.

At a depth of 7 to 17 meters, the technique of free diving met the art of photography in a pioneering art event that was a first on a global scale. The Underwater Gallery is the world’s first photo exhibition where the installation of exhibits and technical infrastructure, was done exclusively with the technique of apnea, free-diving. The location was in no marine sanctuary, no tank or no protected or controlled environment in any way. Exposed to the elements the free-divers had to overcome force 7 -8 winds and waves in order to submerge the entire installation and create a magical atmosphere that immersed visitors inside a dream.
